Energy certification for buildings
A building’s energy certification allows us to understand how a building was designed from a thermal insulation standpoint, and how its insulation properties can contribute to energy savings.
An analysis of the components which comprise a building’s exterior and its air conditioning systems, carried out by a qualified expert with the aim of determining an energy performance index, summarizes the building’s energy consumption for its air conditioning installation and specifies applicable areas for improvement.
Based on this index, a building is assigned an energy class which represents the property’s building quality.
The reference value for attributing an energy class is the estimated thermal consumption, expressed in KWh/m² yearly: below 30 KWh/m² per year, a building is classified class A.
Analyses and thermography on buildings
Infrared Thermography Tests
The use of infrared thermography considerably cuts down on time and expenses in searching for damages due to a variety of problems related to the degradation of buildings, such as: lack of insulation, humidity problems, infiltrations and air leaks, identifying thermal bridges and structural flaws.
Infrared thermography can pinpoint the causes of defects attributable to faulty construction or abnormalities which have developed over time due to shoddy workmanship or a poor oversight of construction works.
Thermography is thus especially important in the case of buildings with a low evaluation in terms of energy efficiency, allowing improvement actions to be concentrated on the specific problem areas identified.
Uses for thermography
Energy improvement actions
Cleaning up and removing asbestos [Eternit], and renovating roof coverings using insulated panels and/or integrating photovoltaic modules.
EEC directives 83/477, 87/217 and 2003/18 stipulate actions to counter the danger posed by constructions using asbestos cement, by removing them, cleaning up crumbling and compacted asbestos, and its confinement, encapsulation and disposal by highly qualified personnel, guaranteeing total safety conditions for such personnel and the surrounding environment.
Esergo’s qualified staff provides consulting for all your roofing work, with the aim of satisfying whatever needs you may have, backing you up every step of the way, from the planning and design stages to the installation phase.
Disposal and clean-up
The removal or disposal of panels containing asbestos is necessary in many cases to restore environmental safety.
The processing and transportation of panels containing removed asbestos must be carried out in accordance with current regulations in force.Work at building sites must be carried out safeguarding the integrity of materials during all phases, and resulting waste products must be properly disposed of at authorized disposal sites.
